LONDON COCKTAIL WEEK
London Cocktail Week (LCW) is the biggest, most vibrant celebration of London’s renowned cocktail scene. With over 25,000 visitors and a week-long cocktail village at its heart. In 2017, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts was the first, and only, hotel brand to participate at LCW.
In the first year, Fairmont activated a premium buzzing pop-up experience within the Cocktail Village featuring Fairmont’s Classics. Perfected. menu and world-class Tastemakers. The unique pop-up fused iconic features from six of Fairmont’s most renowned global cocktail bars; The Beaufort Bar in London, The American Bar in London, The Champagne Bar in New York City, Tonga Room & Hurricane Bar in San Francisco, The Jazz Bar in Shanghai and Anti:Dote in Singapore.
Fairmont returned to London in 2018 for an exclusive media event hosted in the breath-taking Royal Suite of The Savoy. Tastemakers poured cocktails from the current Classics. Perfected. menu, while teasing to the reinvented selection coming in 2019.
TALES OF THE COCKTAIL
In 2018 Fairmont participated in Tales of the Cocktail (TOTC) for the very first time. This world premier cocktail festival is an annual gathering of cocktail enthusiasts and spirits industry professionals in New Orleans.
Fairmont shared the essence of its cocktail culture with TOTC goers and top industry professionals, imposing timeless and classic experiences at two main events; The Revival Room and The Classics Corner.
At The Revival Room, Fairmont’s six Classics. Perfected. cocktails were crafted across three bars, each created with inspiration from Fairmont’s iconic bars across the globe. From the Fairmont Old Fashioned being served at the Classics Bar to the Sparkling Collins Royale shaken up at the Timeless Lounge, it was a sensory experience covering all spectrums of classic cocktails.
The Classics Corner featured two of Fairmont’s Classics. Perfected. cocktails; VSOP Boulevard and Right Word.
With Fairmont’s Tastemakers onsite, The Classics Corner was the ultimate pit stop to enjoy a carefully crafted cocktail with best-in-class premium spirits.
Fairmont also supported the Best Cocktail & Spirits Writer Award at TOTC’s 2018 Spirited Awards – the Oscars of the cocktail industry. This award recognizes an exceptional magazine, newspaper, or online media author that highlights the best bars, bartenders, cocktails, spirit reviews and drink trends in the industry.
The American Bar at The Savoy received ample recognition at the 2018 Spirited Awards as they took the title for; Best International Bar Team, Best International Hotel Bar and World’s Best Bar.
