Brian and Kate's Wedding at the Fairmont Orchid

“Beautiful!”

Congratulations on your wedding! What made you decide on having your wedding with us at Fairmont?

I stayed at the hotel when I was very young with my family. At that time, I imagined what it would be like to get married there. Several years later, when Brian proposed, this hotel came to mind as a prefect place to start our lives together.

Where did you have your ceremony?

We had the ceremony at Turtle Pointe. We didn't have any special or cultural traditions.

Tell us about the flowers you chose. Did you go traditional or contemporary?

No idea? I sent a picture of what I wanted from Pinterest and they came out looking exactly like the picture. 

Tell us about the meal you served your guests. What type and flavor cake did you have at your reception?

We had dinner at Browne's Beach house. It was three courses and guests had the option to order a meat, fish, or veggie dish. All options were good. The cake was a delicious chocolate salted caramel flavor.

Where did you go on your honeymoon? Tell us about it.

We're going to Vietnam, Thailand, and Cambodia in two weeks.

What element(s) did you add to make the wedding uniquely 'yours'?

We had a violin player during the ceremony. That made the entire event feel much more elegant and beautiful. We also had the violinist play "Moon River" while we had our first dance.
