Congratulations on your wedding! What made you decide on having your wedding with us at Fairmont?

We love Copley Square in Boston, and the Fairmont offered the perfect space with elegance, beauty and old world charm. It helped us to create the Gatsby style wedding we were looking for.

Where did you have your ceremony?

We had our ceremony in the St. James room of the Fairmont Copley Plaza, moved everyone out to other rooms for cocktail hour and the room was flipped for the reception. It felt like two completely different spaces, both amazing.

Tell us about the flowers you chose. Did you go traditional or contemporary?

We chose traditional flowers, mostly roses with some variations. We had a blend of white with blush to medium pink flowers.

Tell us about the meal you served your guests. What type and flavor cake did you have at your reception?

We served guests a green salad with goat cheese, then they had a choice between black pepper filet mignon with vegetables or lemon cod with basmati rice. Our cake was lemon satin chiffon.

What element(s) did you add to make the wedding uniquely ‘yours’?

We practiced a choreographed dance for our first dance to a techno song, which we kept a surprise from everyone.

Another integral part of the day is the wedding dress! Tell us about what you chose to wear. Did you follow the old English saying “something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue”?

My wedding dress was traditional, simple but classic. It was a full a-line with a strapless, sweetheart neckline. I added a crystal belt to the natural waist, which was the only adornment on the dress.

What was the first song you danced to as newlyweds?

Our first dance song was "We Are" by Arty. We both love this techno song.

Now that you are married and have had time to reflect on your wedding day, what was your favorite moment?

My favorite moment of the day was our choreographed first dance.
