Waiting to Inhale

We had a wonderful trip to the Fairmont Kea Lani in Maui, and we were determined to take a great Christmas card photo while we were there. A friend, who is not a professional photographer, volunteered to take an underwater family photo.

 

Simple. Just hold your breath, all at the same time, dive down, face the camera, and hold still. Smile! hmmm... not so simple. Let's try it again... and again. The process was a little like a bad reality show, but after about 27 takes, we had our prize. The photo was a huge hit, although not everyone appreciated the accompanying pun, "Wishing you Love and Deep-Ocean."

 

We can hardly wait to return to the Kea Lani for another adventure. We're practically holding our breath.
