I got this idea for My Special Valentine after seeing the Fairmont Royal York all candlelit for "Going Dark for Earth Hour". Couldn't get in at the Royal York cause it was all booked up by the time I called. So I made this special meal at home and created this table setting for that Special Someone. This home cooked meal made up for not being able to wine and dine at the Royal York that evening.
Picture it...the girl goes to work. You have the key for her condo. You run around all day grabbing her favourite foods. You cook her a meal with all her favourites. She's at work now receiving the flowers you just sent her. You pick her up from work and take her back to her place. The condo is candle filled with rose pedals leading from the front door to the table. The Valentine's Day gift...a set of figure skates with her name engraved in the edge of the skate. To be used that evening for an evening skate at Nathan Phillips Square after dinner. An fun-filled Valentine's Day experience.
