Lab in Residence at Copley

My husband and I have become world travelers since our retirement. We love to explore new cultures and to marvel at scenic wonders. Our travels have led us to Canada, Europe, and South America as well as several states in the U.S. We like to be adventurous, but we also like to be comfortable at the end of the day. Consequently we have stayed at many fabulous hotels around the world.

I can say, without a doubt, that my favorite hotel is the Fairmont Copley in Boston . It is an historic hotel with all of the grandeur of the past, but all the comforts of the present day done in the utmost of taste. Among all of this elegance there resides, in the lobby, the most adorable Black Labrador Retriever by the name of Katie Copley. She lies serenely on her pillow while surprised guests stop to pet and fuss over her.

We stay at the Fairmont Copley once or twice a year when we come to Boston to visit our three grandchildren. They love to visit with us at the Fairmont to say hello to their friend Katie. The staff at the hotel is so kind and accommodating with the children. They even get to take her for a walk! We always stay on the Gold Floor and enjoy their marvelous breakfast buffet, their evening canapes and amazing cookies.
