Fairmont Pet Accommodation

For Ryan’s (my partner and fiance) 30th birthday in January we went to Ottawa to visit his sister and stay at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier (we have a goal over the next 3 years to stay at each Canadian hotel). It was Pepper’s first trip and hotel stay. Pepper is our 6 month old shii-poo puppy. Not many hotels in any major city will even allow pets so I was elated when my favorite hotel chain actually did! Pepper was a hit with the staff and met a few other puppies staying at the hotel as well. Now everytime I call to book a room at any hotel they remember that I have a pet and always ask if she will be joining us on our trip.
The first photo is of me and Pepper inside my favorite part of the hotel. Its a giant hallway with arched ceilings and painted murals.  We love this hotel, not only because it is so beautiful and welcomes puppies, but also because it was the home of Yousuf Karsh one of Canada’s greatest portrait photographers. His work can be found all over the hotel laid out like his own personal gallery. We stayed 2 doors down from his studio which was located inside the hotel.
I love that our new puppy can travel with us anywhere in the world where there is a Fairmont Hotel.
