Day after the Edmonton marathon

Two years ago a friend was hit by a car while walking her bike across the street. Five weeks in a coma and a long recovery later (which still has a long way to go), Leaha decided she would run the Edmonton marathon. A friend from Toronto (Angela), came out and Leaha came up from Calgary. The three of us completed the marathon in just over 8 hours. As a treat we decided that we would take Angela to Jasper after the marathon so she could see the mountains. I booked a room at the Jasper Park Lodge where we could recover from the marathon and enjoy celebrating my birthday a few days early. The pictures are of Angela on our walk around the lake at the JPL, the lake and of the elk we came across on our walk.
