Amazing CSM...

I had a conference at the Fairmont Vancouver Hotel.It would be my first time leaving my then 3 1/2 month old little girl with my very capable but equally frightened husband back in Chicago.Days leading up to the conference were miserable...the anticipation of not putting my little girl to sleep and waking up with her traumatic.I had arranged to fly my husband and daughter to Vancouver 4 days after I would be leaving, which is how I coped at all...I was working with Penny Tomlinson before I went on maternity leave and then when I came back for a few weeks prior.I instantly had a connection and common bond with her.  Upon my arrival, the staff on the concierge level knew that she and Dave were coming, when they were coming, what their names were and made me feel so warm and welcome.I entered my guestroom to a beautiful photo album with a wonderful note and pictures of my husband and daughter blown up and framed.  I burst out crying, one for missing my daughter and two for the kindness and thoughtfulness of the staff.This feeling was extended throughout the entire week.  On their arrival day, Penny sent a sedan & in came a crib & her name written in the bathtub!I can't say enough about the wonderful service and feeling of being at your hotel.Penny, you are so thoughtful and one of a kind!I hope our paths cross again!
