O our recent trip to Phoenix in Arizona, we had booked a 4 nights stay at the Fairmont Princess and we were really looking forward to the pampering and excellent service. As we were coming back to Sedona, we got caught in a huge traffic line and it took us 4 hours to get into Phoenix! As I was getting anxious and really edgy, I called up the hotel to let them know we were going to be much later than we had anticipated and that we were stuck in this sea of red lights at crawling pace. We were assured that it was not a problem, to drive safely, that everyone was waiting for us.
Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted by the doorman and our room keys and check-in were ready for our pick-up. About 5 minutes later, we were driven to our Junior Suite Casita! We were SO amazed and excited since we were given a super upgrade from a Fairmont Room to this lovely Casita.
After the long drive, it was definitely a treat and I can say that everyday was more magical than the previous until the very last second. I still remember every details as if it was yesterday :-)
