Easter Traditions

Family, friends, food and of course chocolate, these are just some of the things we associate with Easter. Our chefs provide their traditional Easter recipes to enjoy while you're gathered around the table, or indulging in some sweet treats with the kids.

Blackberry Pear Cake - Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise
Serve the cake warm with generous amount of compote and cream and you have a winner for dessert. It is beyond easy as well, a winning combination.

Cadbury Crème Egg Cronut - Fairmont Winnipeg
There is nothing that says Easter like chocolate eggs and buttery, flaky pastry. Serve these delicious cronuts with the morning coffee rounds to really surprise and delight your household or office.

Chocolate Easter Bunnies Whistler Style - Fairmont Chateau Whistler
Such a great craft to do with the kids that has a SWEET result.

Coconut Nests - Fairmont Chateau Laurier
This is an adorable treat for kids and adults alike. Who doesn’t love coconut and chocolate? Very easy and incredibly creative!

Easter Egg Ceviche - Fairmont Scottsdale
This Peruvian-style ceviche makes for a delightful and unexpected Easter dish. The avocado base reminds of a grass field in springtime, while the bright colors of the fruit and vegetables are reminiscent of surprises found at an Easter egg hunt.

Honey Mustard Glazed Ham with Parsnip & White Chocolate Puree - Fairmont Vancouver Airport
A quintessential Easter meal, perfect for the whole family! Succulent ham, glazed with honey and mustard, and served with a festive side of parsnip and white chocolate puree. Paired with good wine and great company, this meal is sure to make your Easter gathering memorable.

Huli Huli Roast Suckling Pig - Fairmont Kea Lani
Island inspired Easter Tradition - Easter in the islands is meant for family gatherings and time spent eating, sharing and reflecting. The Suckling Pig recipe is quite simple, it's all about tending to the fire and everyone taking time to 'huli huli' or turn the pig over the fire while enjoying each other's company.

Lemon Cake Pops - Fairmont Waterfront
We tasked Pastry Sous Chef Karly Pomes with coming up with a recipe that should become an Easter tradition, and she didn't disappoint! These cute (and scrumptious) cake pops are a fun way to spend the afternoon with the kids (or those who are kids at heart) and make a fantastic centrepiece for Easter dinner.

Saddle of Rabbit Stuffed with Foie Gras and Morel Mushroom - Fairmont Tremblant
Put the bunny on the menu for Easter! Fantastically tender, the rabbit meat blends perfectly with foie-gras and mushrooms. The entire family will be amazed by this very gourmet recipe created by Executive Chef Éric Beaupré.

Southern Maryland Stuffed Ham - Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa
Stuffed ham is a culinary treasure that, like so many gustatory delicacies, was borne of necessity. The exact origins of Southern Maryland stuffed hams are unknown, but evidence points to the slaves of the region for credit in creating this culinary masterpiece.

Whiskey Honey Ham Hocks - Fairmont Chicago
Start a new tradition with an old holiday favorite, ham. Enjoy!

Chilhuacle Rubbed Leg of Lamb Grilled- Corn on the Cob and Baby Onions - Fairmont Mayakoba
Spicy, smoky, salty and sweet – You will find these elements together and would be very nice for a family meeting and be part of a traditional flavor but different way to eat the lamb in Mexico. My twist: Charred the tortillas in a direct flame or fire. Demian Cruz
