Boston Cream Pie Semi Freddo

• Boston Cream Pie Semi Freddo Ingredients

  • Chocolate Gelato
  • Boston Cream Pie Gelato (can use Cream Anglaise Ice Cream from Ina Garten)
  • Vanilla Bean Gelato

1. Boston Cream Pie Semi Freddo Preparation

   • Spread Chocolate Gelato into two separate rectangular molds or pans. Make sure Gelato is about 2cm in height then place in freezer. Repeat with Boston Cream Pie Gelato.
   • Spread Vanilla Bean Gelato into a rectangular mold or pan. Make sure Gelato is about 1cm in height then place in freezer.
   • Let molds sit in freezer for 6-8 minutes, but do not let them harden.
   • Take molds out of freezer. Using new pan, layer molds in order:
   • - Bottom layer (Chocolate Gelato)
   • - Second to bottom layer (Boston Cream Pie Gelato)
   • - Middle layer (Vanilla Bean Gelato)
   • - Second from top layer (Boston Cream Pie Gelato)
   • - Top layer (Chocolate Gelato)
   • Place the Semi Freddo in the Freezer and let layers harden together.
   • When ready to serve, slize with warm knife.
