Your cocktail reception is a great way to set the tone for your entire wedding celebration. Our wedding planners have pulled together some of their favorite tips to make a cocktail reception memorable.
1. Extend Your Reception – remember the guests are there to celebrate with the bride and groom! Rather than the couple missing the entire reception while they take photos, extend it so that guests have more time to mingle and the bride and groom can attend.
2. While guests are meeting and mingling, share some of the bride and groom’s history by featuring the cocktail they enjoyed on their first date or their favorite cocktail from a memorable vacation. Include fun signage on the bar to explain the story and for the entire family be sure to have a non alcoholic version available. Add this fun wedding tip to your reception, and remember when and where it all started.
3. Bubbles! Every reception is more festive with Champagne or sparkling wine. As part of your reception have a Bubbly Bar that features Mimosas, Kir Royales and Bellinis, as well as the wine on its own.
