Did You Know?

  • Kittocks course is named after the SSI area of land on the Kittocks golf course that is inhabited by a family of deer. This protected area comes into view on several holes and provides abundant wildlife to be seen during a round on Kittocks, including pheasants, rabbits and hares, deer, grouse and badgers.
  • The 15th green on Kittocks that can be seen from the clubhouse, is positioned above the site of an iron age fort, which is an area locally known as Castle Acre. Their fort was used over 2000 years ago, with lookout windows to the north & east to spot potential invaders.
  • The driftwood in the brand new Spa was collected from the beaches of St Andrews.
  • Prince William was a Spa member at the hotel, whilst attending St Andrews University.
  • The Rock and Spindle is named after a rock formation on the St Andrews coastline.
  • The Torrance golf course was designed by Sam Torrance and Gene Sarazen aka The Squire.
