Icy Wonderland

The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise will always be a special place for my wife and me.  It was there that I proposed to her but I couldn’t have done it without the help of all the wonderful staff.  First, they helped me arrange for her to “win” a two night accommodation package that included a sleigh ride and a dinner.  Second, they arranged for an ice sculptor artist to sculpt an ice piece which included the words “Judith will you marry me”.  The sleigh ride took us to the end of the lake where the ice sculptor was placed and where I proposed to her.  When we got back to the room, the staff had sprinkled rose pedals in the room and left us a bottle of champagne.  So, the Fairmont has and will always be a special place for me and my wife.
