Fairytale Hotel...Fairytale Engagement

 When I first saw a picture of The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise a little over a year ago, with its stunning namesake lake gleaming in the background, I said to myself, “Where is that?” followed soon after by, “I need to go there!”  A few months later, airfare to Calgary dropped, and I jumped at the opportunity to book a long weekend away for my boyfriend and I at the gorgeous Chateau Lake Louise.  It…was…perfect!  The hotel and the setting were like living in a fairytale for a weekend.  Just when I thought the trip couldn’t get anymore amazing, my boyfriend got down on one knee, at the top of a mountain overlooking the lake and the Chateau, and I am happy to now call him my fiancé!

PS - the photo is taken on the path just behind The Chateau Lake Louise.  The mountain top in view is Big Beehive, where we got engaged.  This photo is soon to be our 'Save the Date' post card.  :)
