Beer Braised Pork Belly for a Crowd

• Beer Braised Pork Belly

  • Pork belly 5 kg
  • Thyme 1 cup
  • 10 Garlic cloves
  • Grizzly paw beer 1 bottle
  • Chicken stock 2 cups

• Beer Glaze

  • 6 bottles of Grizzly Paw Grumpy Bear Honey Wheat Ale
  • 6 cloves of garlic
  • 250ml Honey
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • ½ Lemon juiced
  • Salt to taste

1. Beer Braised Pork Belly

   1. Crush the thyme, garlic and salt together
   2. Rub the pork belly with the herb mixture
   3. Add 1bottle of beer and 2cups chicken stock Braise for 6hrs
   4. Remove when fork tender
   5. Cool down the braised pork Cut into 1 ¼ x1 ¼ (inch)

2. Beer Glaze

   1. Reduce until thick consistency and serve coated on Pork
