"I want to go! It doesn't look real!"

My husband and I had come through a very tough year,  we recieved the news that my mother had been diagnosed with end stage renal failure.   We asked her to move in with us to lessen some of her financial pressure, not knowing how difficult it would be to care for her and plan a wedding at the same time.  Some days, we didn't think mom would make it to see her only child marry!

She did she us marry and wished us a fond farewell when we left to board the plane for our sunny Hawaiian vacation.  Boy,  were we pleased when we saw the hotel!  This photo was taken on the day we arrived, by a very young boy who happened to be walking by.  We immediately emailed it home to show my mother who responded "I want to go!  It doesn't look real"!

We are planning to take her with us on our anniversay, if her health holds up.  She often looks at this photo on our mantel and remarks she is holding on to see something this gorgeous, up close.  She says it gives her strength.  My husband and I chose the Farimont Orchid on the Big Island of Hawaii for our honeymoon destination based on the wonderful website photos and great reputation, but got so much more in return.
