Ronna and Jeremy's Fairmont Copley Plaza Wedding

“Fairytale, romantic, sophisticated, whimsical”

Congratulations on your wedding! What made you decide on having your wedding with us at Fairmont?

My grandparents got married in the Grand Ballroom 60 years ago, so it's been a very special place in my family forever (not to mention it's the most gorgeous hotel I've ever seen).

Where did you have your ceremony?

Grand Ballroom

Tell us about the flowers you chose. Did you go traditional or contemporary?

I went traditional with all whites/off whites/blush. I wanted the flowers to add to the beauty of the ballroom and not take away from it.

Tell us about the meal you served your guests. What type and flavor cake did you have at your reception?

We offered guests a choice of Filet Mignon or Sea Bass. Our wedding cake alternated layers of white wedding cake and chocolate mouse with raspberry filling.

Where did you go on your honeymoon? Tell us about it.

We went to Thailand for two weeks! While we were there we traveled to Phuket, Koh Samui, Chiang Mai & Bangkok. It truly was the trip of a lifetime.

What element(s) did you add to make the wedding uniquely 'yours'?

Lots of little details - "Better" and "Together" signs on the back of our chairs, lace from my dress was used around my bouquet, my bridesmaids wore light pink (my favorite color), we designed our own invitations and had all the other paper goods coordinate. Most importantly we wanted the ceremony to showcase our love and the party to celebrate it. We had an amazing band that played off the energy of our guests - and turned into a crazy dance party by the end of the night!

Another integral part of the day is the wedding dress! Tell us about what you chose to wear.

I had a vision of the dress I wanted and ended buying the very first dress I tried on! I had the opportunity to work directly with the designer in NYC, which was an incredible experience!

What was the first song you danced to as newlyweds?

"Lover Lay Down" by Dave Matthews (which is our favorite song and the song that was on when Jeremy proposed).

Now that you are married and have had time to reflect on your wedding day, what was your favorite moment?

Saying our own vows during the ceremony - it made it extra meaningful and unique.
