The Next Star Vancouver

My daughter loves to sing. She asked if she could audition for Canada's The Next Star. I told her if she could play her accompanying music on the piano herself, I would take her. She did it. She sang Journey's Don't Stop Believing and played it on a keyboard we'd rented in downtown Vancouver for her. We booked one night at the Fairmont Pacific Rim. We woke at 4:30 and walked just minutes across the street to the waterfront where the audition was held. My daughter Tabitha impressed more than just her parents. She made it through 3 auditions and was told to wait for a call before eleven p.m. We hadn't planned on staying another night but The Fairmont Pacific Rim was very accommodating and provided us with another night in the same room. Tabitha had the time of her life at the audition and although she didn't make the final Vancouver selection, she is determined to come back next year and try again. Her little sister, dad and I had a wonderful "tropical" vacation and enjoyed sunning and swimming at the amazing outdoor pool area at the hotel.
