Saying goodbye to the day

After a day of touring the island, we got back to the hotel in time to catch the last of the day's sunset as it dipped beyond our balcony and beneath the horizon.  From my perch high above the sea and sand, I was also privy to the quiet interlude between the couple on the pier, also witnessing the explosion of color happening before our eyes.
