On October 30, 2014, a blue's brother met a flapper at a Halloween Party in Boston's South End. Intrigued, Brian invited Lauren to join him for some live music five days later. She did. The night was magical and ended with a kiss. Ten days later, Brian asked Lauren to be his girlfriend. Less than two years later, they were engaged and looking for the perfect wedding venue to celebrate. Although neither are native to Boston or MA, Brian & Lauren fell in love in Boston and couldn't imagine marrying anywhere else.
After a search all over the city, Brian & Lauren met Alice Fay, the Fairmont Copley's wedding coordinator, for a tour of the historic, elegant venue. From that initial meeting on, they knew their search was over! Alice provided the couple with the perfect blend of enthusiasm, professionalism and care which set their minds at ease. They selected the gorgeous yet intimate Oval Room with the adjoining Venetian Room for their wedding ceremony and reception for a Saturday in November. The months that followed involved selecting from delicious menu options, indulgent desserts, beautiful linens, chairs, decor and lighting. Despite the number of decisions, Alice & team made the process simple and fun!
On the week of the wedding, the entire Fairmont Copley staff seemed to feel as excited as Brian & Lauren were as they welcomed their friends and families. Hand delivering wedding bags, effortlessly making reservation changes and bringing countless items (even those not even anticipated) to the various suites to ensure everything was all set for a perfect wedding day! Their wedding day was flawless from the precision of keeping the doors closed during the wedding, so it would not disrupt the ceremony or any photos to the incredible food. The team was so thoughtful that they even kept a special plate of all the appetizers set aside for the bride & groom to taste after their photo shoot ended and kept covers on their dinners to keep them warm while the bride & groom circulated the room. The list of their care and attention to detail was endless!
