Finding Paradise at the Fairmont Orchid on Hawaii's Big Island

There are not many destinations in the world where a photo of the actual hotel is worthy of framing, but the Fairmont Orchid is one such property. The luxury resort is an oasis of coconut trees, bright hibiscus and stunning plumeria, nestled ocean-front on the Kohala coast of the Big Island of Hawaii.

With a resort as stunning as the Fairmont Orchid, it really was hard to pull ourselves away to actually go and explore Hawaii.
