Falling in Love with Nature

I grew up in a large city and have always been a city boy – the hustle and bustle energized me.  I use to only vacation in large cosmopolitan cities with lots of shopping and pampering – think The Plaza in New York City, the Peace Hotel in Shanghai, and the Savoy in London.  This all changed the moment I first visited Fairmont Kenauk 4 years ago.  Fairmont Kenauk is a 100 sq. mile protected wilderness in Quebec where you can stay in rustic chalets and be connected to nature.  There's no electricity, no tv, and no cell phone signal – it is so remote you can go for the whole week without seeing another person. This picture was taken at the Sugarbush chalet.  We were enjoying a calm and relaxing canoe ride on our own private lake!  From that moment, I knew I will be back year after year.  So far we have returned 3 years in a row and we have already booked again for this year.  Fairmont Kenauk truly opened my eyes to what nature has to offer.
