One Warm Coat Campaign- A National Effort Meeting Local Needs
The colleagues of the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa again in partnership with One Warm Coat campaign will help deliver winter outerwear to residents in need, via the Sonoma County Taskforce for the Homeless. The drive begins on Monday, November 21st and will conclude Monday, January 3rd. Donations from guests, employees and members of the community will be accepted at the Valet Pavilion and the Concierge Desk located in the hotel lobby any time, day or night.
Men's, women's, and children's coats that are "gently used" will be accepted. There is no limit to the number of coats, as well as other clothing items, one may donate, as long as the items are in wearable condition. All donations are tax deductable.
ABOUT ONE WARM COAT
One Warm Coat started out in 1992 as a Thanksgiving Weekend coat drive in San Francisco. Since then, more than 1 million coats have been donated in thousands of local communities across North America. Each coat drive has the same intent -- to collect coats that will be GIVEN to those in need. Many people play a part in One Warm Coat - those who clean their closet to donate coats; those who organize a coat drive in their community; and the volunteers and staff at social service agencies who distribute the coats.
