At The Fairmont Winnipeg, Earth Hour is one of our favourite events and is something we look forward to in the month of March. This year the global initiative fell during the 2014 Juno Awards when our hotel was at its busiest. Despite this, we decided to go ahead with Earth Hour anyway, deciding it would be a great opportunity to showcase out green hotel initiates.
Guests were able to enjoy our Earth Friendly dining options in the Velvet Glove Restaurant and The Lounge. To celebrate Earth Hour the hotel will offered candle lit check in and dining, on the lobby level as well as candle lit check in and candle lit hors d’oeurves in the Fairmont Gold lounge for our guests on the 18th and 19th floors.
We have put a spotlight on these green initiatives for our Earth Hour celebration, but the hotel is proud to offer most of these initiatives 365 days a year.
