Normally I don't like to submit my photos to any contests, but this past New Years I was fortunate to go on one of the most relaxing trips of my life!! I headed down to the Fairmont Mayakoba located in Mexico on the Yucatan Peninsula to check out the beautiful Fairmont property there...and boy was it just that. For 7 days my sister and I basked in perfect sun, relaxed by magnificent pools, walked on the softest white sandy beaches and ate fantastic meals. Just complete relaxation. This picture really struck me as one of the best shots of the trip, simply because it captures the essence of this trip so well. Sitting by the magnificent pool with just my straw trilby hat, escaping the things that can fill our minds and consume our time all year round back where we live. Just a hat...and a beautiful little view, and truly one of the most amazing beaches that made me feel like I was disappearing into complete and utter relaxation...My friends tell me that this shot is exactly what a trip should be...and I agree.
