Common Ground Foundation

Founded by Hip-Hop Artist, actor, philanthropist and Chicago native, COMMON, the Common Ground Foundation (CGF) uses creative arts to expose youth to new opportunities. Focusing on Chicago Public School students from underprivileged neighborhoods on the south and west sides of Chicago, CGF summer camps and mentoring programs focus on Healthy Living, Character Education, Economics for Success and Art in our World.

“I started the Common Ground Foundation because I wanted to help. Most of all help people to help themselves. I always believed that if we started with the youth then we would be planting the seeds for our future to blossom. Give the children a sense of hope, self-esteem, and love that will better the world…I think making a difference in the lives of others is life’s greatest purpose. Recognized by CNN Heroes (2011) and BET Hip Hop Awards (2010) as a philanthropic organization doing great work in urban communities, CGF is helping make a difference one child at a time.
