Broken ankle, restored by the beauty of Jasper.
Our family had planned a two week vacation through the Alberta Rockies, kicked off with a stay at the beautiful Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. Three days before the holiday was about to start, I broke my ankle while longboarding with my daughter. While waiting to see if I needed surgery, we considered cancelling our trip, since I would surely be in a cast and unable to do many of the things we were looking forward to. Reluctantly, we decided to continue as planned, and I knew we had made the right decision as soon as I sat down on one of the lake chairs overlooking Lake Beauvert at the Lodge. All of my worries and disappointment disappeared after only a few minutes in the natural beauty of Jasper and the superb surroundings of the Jasper Park Lodge. It was a wonderful way to begin our family holiday!
