All that Jazz

Every time I look at this photo I am once again propelled back to the streets of Montreal during the annual Jazz Festival.  Being in the crowd, listening to the music emenitating from the stage, I get a sense of the excitement and atmosphere that washed over the crowds. 

The hotel is right in the center of town with a short walk underground to Montreal's famous subway system.  Staying at the Fairmont allowed my wife and I easy access to every part of the city.  In addition to going to the Jazz Festival itself, we were able to visit several fine museums and wonderful nite clubs to experience real Jazz in real Jazz settings.

I could not leave Montreal without a visit to the Expo '67 site.  I fondly recalled my youth group trip  there as a teen so many years ago.  Yet another easy trip from the Fairmont.  Montreal is a safe city and I prefer getting around by subway to really imerse myself in the city.  I love people watching and this photo shows oh so many people of interest, each with a backstory.

All of the employees went out of their way to make us comfortable and to offer "local" information about the city.  Can't wait to go back.
