Prior to even arriving for our vacation at the Fairmont Mayakoba, we had a taste of what excellent service looks like. As part of our reservation we were assigned Ricardo Bahena as our butler. Ricardo was wonderful from day one. He arranged onsite and offsite restaurant reservations for us (even when we changed our plans several times !). Not once when we inquired or asked for something, did he say "no". He was always willing to see what he could do and went above and beyond to make sure that everything was in place for us. Throughout the vacation, Ricardo would check in and rectify any issues (small or large). He truly helped to make our vacation stress and trouble free. There was even some confusion with respect to another upcoming reservation that we had and he took care of that issue as well. Service like Ricardo provides is the reason we will continue to stay at the Fairmont. We will certainly will return to the Fairmont Mayakoba and when we do, will be certain to request Ricardo. Thank you Ricardo and kudos to the Fairmont for hiring and training staff that truly puts the needs of the guest first. We are already looking forward to our next visit.
