Warm Apple Pie

Ingredients
- Yield:
- 8 individual pies

For the filling
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 4 cups thinly sliced, peeled apples
- 1 teaspoon milk
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar

For the sauce
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
- 1-2 pcs Fresh Rosemary
Preparation

- Prepare your pastry for the pie.
- Heat oven to 400°F and spray baking sheet with cooking spray. Place the pie crust on the sheet.
- In medium bowl, mix 1/2 cup granulated sugar and cinnamon. Gently mix in apples.
- Cook the apple mixture over low heat till apples are soft but still have a slight bite.
- Spoon onto center of crust, spreading to within 2 inches of edge. Fold edge of crust over filling, ruffling decoratively. Brush crust edge with milk; sprinkle with 1 teaspoon granulated sugar.

Sauce Preparation
- Heat sugar in a 12-inch heavy skillet over medium heat, stirring with a fork to heat sugar evenly, until it starts to melt, then stop stirring and cook, swirling skillet occasionally so sugar melts evenly, until it is dark amber.
- Stir in butter, corn syrup, rosemary (caramel will harden and steam vigorously) and cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until caramel has dissolved.
- Add cream and bring to a boil, stirring, then remove from heat.
- Serve the warm pie drizzled with the rosemary caramel sauce, fresh berries and a scoop of your favorite ice cream .
