Ingredients
- Yield:
- Yield 4 to 6 servings
Steak and Steak Rub
- 16 oz. Maui Cattle Beef steaks
- ½ T. minced garlic
- ½ T chopped parsley
- ½ tsp. dried chili flakes
- 2 T. Hawaiian 'alaea salt
- 2 T. turbinado sugar (Maui raw sugar)
Relish
- ½ c. diced Kula onion
- ½ c. diced tomato
- ½ c. diced Japanese cucumber
- 2 T. Tamari
- ½ T. Sesame oil
- 1 tsp. sambal oelek
Preparation

- Total Time:
- 45 Minutes
- Massage the rub into both sides of the steaks.
- Heat up your grill or pan; when hot, sear the steaks. They should be cooked on the outside and rare or medium rare in the center.
- Let steaks rest for 10 minutes.
- Cut the seared steaks into 1-inch cubes.
- Put the cubes into a serving bowl, add the relish and toss. Serve immediately.
