Hot Spiced Wine

Ingredients

Yield:

 

• • 2 oranges, peeled and cut into slices
  • 2 apples, peeled and cut into slices
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1/2 tsp ground allspice
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 12 cloves
  • 1/2 tsp ground mace
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

1. 1. Simmer all ingredients with 2 cups of water in a saucepan for 2 hours.
   2. Reduce to minimum water and let chill.
   3. Use 1oz of the reduction and mix with 4oz of red wine and slowly heat.
   4. Garnish with orange slice and cinnamon dust.
