Fairmont Waterfront & the Pollinator Corridor Project

Fairmont Waterfront

Last year with the support of a Fairmont CAREs grant and support from the City of Vancouver’s Neighbourhood Matching Fund (NMF) our friends at HivesforHumanity launched the Pollinator Corridor Project.

We partnered to enhance 27 different locations, with non-profits like PHS, Atira and RainCity, small businesses like Homesteader’s Emporium and East Van Roasters, community centre’s like Carnegie and Strathcona, and the City of Vancouver Parks. With these partners, through community workshops, we installed mason bee houses, along with pollinator friendly seeds and actual mason bee cocoons, into backyards, patios, rooftops, community gardens and parks.
