Prasad Metrani : New Executive Chef at Fairmont Jaipur, India!
Joining the Fairmont Jaipur family from September 2017 as the new Executive Chef of the hotel, Chef Prasad Metrani is a self spurred proficient with 13 years of involvement in dealing with the culinary operation with skill information of world foods, gaining practical experience in both fine dining and specialty banqueting operations.
At the onset of his career itself, Chef Metrani has proved his mettle as the Management Trainee for Taj Group of Hotels in 2006-2009. Ensuing that, his career proficiency grew by leaps and bounds as he continued to work with Taj Hotels Resorts & Palaces, later, Seabourn Cruise liners, Nassau USA, Leela Palace Hotels , Westin- then Starwood Hotels and lastly the Grand Hyatt Goa. His long stint at working overseas has rendered him with an ever innovative and fervent nature to create something new in the world of gastronomy.
Chef Prasad has received a host of accolades for his unorthodox pioneers in the world of food including the Manager of the Year, Manager of the Quarter, etc and has featured endless times in an array of lifestyle magazines including some of the trending ones like Times of India, Sunday Times, The Indian Express, The Financial Chronicle, The Telegraph, the Crème Magazine, Planet Goa Magazine, so on and so forth.
An alumnus of IHM, Hyderabad, Chef Prasad Metrani has always believed in sharing his immense knowledge with the upcoming generation of aspiring chefs and has thus volunteered oft to be a guiding seraph for them at State Level Culinary competitions in IHM, Goa.
Chef Metrani’s flair for writing has been exhibited manifold through his featured articles including ones like “Superfoods and Its Benefits” for SPAMANTRA, “Tweaked and Innovated MASTANI of Pune” for Golden Sparrow Publications, etc.
He has even featured in the “Celebrity Chef Cook Out” at Pune Farmers Market hosted by the celebrity Lifestyle blogger, Karen Anand.

Travelling is his passion and has covered good places of world in his short stint with Seabourn Cruises. Also travelled with Chef Hemant Oberoi to Middle Eastern countries for Food trip.
But his list of achievements thus not limit here, as Chef Metrani has zealously worked and launched many of the acclaimed food festivals including the Mediterranean Nights @ Seasonal Tastes All Day Dining and the Moroccan Food Festival that introduced palates from the regions of Fez, Marrakech, Rabat, etc.
Described as an aspiring individual with an high state of assurance to accomplish individual and vocation objectives, Chef Prasad is equipped, imaginative with basic considering, possesses amazing hard working attitude, immense self-control with a vigorous identity, extremely certain and is dedicated in inspiring the group to continually accomplish objectives. His colleagues over the year have described him as a buoyant person with a "Team First” attitude.
When asked about his forte, Chef Prasad replied, “ I specialize in sustainable cooking, modern approach to food, developing new food and beverage concepts, fair-trade sourcing, developing the concept of hyper local produce "Go Local Cook Global.”
