Born and raised in the charming town of Adliswil, Switzerland, Felix began to pursue his passion for cooking at a young age.  In 1985, Felix began his career with an apprenticeship and, in 1988, graduated from the Chef's School in Zurich, promoting him from apprentice to Journeyman Chef.

After several journeyman positions in some of Zurich's top restaurants and hotels, coupled with a season at the world class ski resort of Zermatt, a life long dream to work and live in Canada came true in 1991. Felix accepted a position at The Post Hotel in Lake Louise, Alberta.  It was the perfect place to experience high-end Canadian cuisine.  He returned to Switzerland and worked at the four-star Hotel Ascot in Zurich, as a Chef de Partie and Sous-Chef.  Longing for the Canadian Rockies, Felix returned to Canada in 1994 and continued his career at The Fairmont Banff Springs.  He worked in several restaurants and eventually promoted to Banquet Chef.

In 2001, with a new Canadian passport in hand, Felix jumped at the opportunity to work at The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess in Arizona.   A five-month assignment at the Five Diamond Restaurant Marquesa and experience in banquet operations brought Felix back to Canada with the ambition to make his way to the top.

In 2002, opportunity knocked again and Felix was off to Dubai where he was a member of the opening team of the first Fairmont hotel outside North America (The Fairmont Dubai).  Soon after his return, Felix took the next step with Fairmont and joined The Fairmont Château Lake Louise as Executive Sous Chef. Today Felix stands as the Executive Chef of The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, a position he has held since February 2008.
