A Tale of Two Cities

Fairmont Copley Plaza, Boston

Learn more about Fairmont Copley Plaza, Boston or make a booking.

The Fairmont Copley Plaza in Boston and its sister hotel the Plaza in New York City both have back-to-back "P" monograms throughout their buildings. That is because they were both built by the same architect, Henry Janeway Hardenbergh. The Plaza was built in 1907 and the Copley Plaza was built in 1912, which coincidentally was the same year Fenway Park was built. You could say that was the year a little sibling rivalry was started, given the history behind the two cities baseball teams.
