Make way for the Bubbly! - Veuve Clicquot is giving you two very good reasons to make your way to Sonoma Valley on Thursday, August 28th from 4-6p. The famed French Bubbly is touring the U.S. in a specially branded mail truck, and they’re making a stop at The Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa.

The now famous “yellow truck” will be pouring the brand’s signature Yellow label and Rosé champagne in the resort’s pop-up al fresco summer champagne garden. Stop by and grab a sip and a selfie #Clicquotmail #FairmontSonoma – For additional information about this event and other exciting happenings at the Inn please visit our online event listing pages: Fairmont Sonoma Event Calendar

In a bid to revive the romance of handwritten letters, French champagne producer Veuve Clicquot has sent a roving mail truck to tour the US to encourage people to pen letters to their family and loved ones. Painted in the brand’s signature bright yellow, it pays tribute to its history and honors Madame Clicquot, who took over the brand after her husband’s passing in the 1800s. She communicated with suppliers and agents through letters which bore her distinctive handwriting.

Don’t stop the Party! Following the sparkling event, Bon Vivants are invited to grab a cocktail and a few small plates at the Inn’s lauded 38º North. The handsome lounge is a meritage of wines and flavors, proudly pouring more than 50 wines by the glass from handpicked local and international wineries. The unparalleled wines by the glass menu showcases cult favorites including Screaming Eagle, Kamen and international sparklers. Small plate menu offerings include:

• Cabernet Braised Beef “Poutine”, House-Made Fries, Bellwether Farms Crescenza
• Santé’s Celebrated Grown-Up Mac & Cheese, Lobster, Black Truffles, Organic Orecchiette,
Fontina Val d’Aosta
• Grass-Fed Beef Sliders, Caramelized Onions, Gruyère, Dijonnaise
• “Faux Foie Gras”, Sonoma Duck Liver Mousse, Madeira Gelée, Cinnamon Poached Prune, Crostini
