Apple Spice and All Things Nice

Ingredients

• • 1 oz Laird’s Applejack Brandy
  • ¾ oz Tuaca
  • ½ oz Lemon Juice
  • ½ oz Ginger Syrup
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick

• Ginger Syrup

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 oz chopped ginger
  • 10 peppercorns
  • 1 nutmeg whole
  • 5 gloves
  • 4 allspice

1. Ginger Syrup

   1. 1 cup water
   2. 4 oz chopped ginger
   3. 10 peppercorns
   4. 1 nutmeg whole
   5. 5 gloves
   6. Combine all ingredients in a 4 qt sauce pan and bring to a simmer. Stir until sugar dissolves and remove from heat. Allow to steep for 5 hours. Strain and discard solids.

2. Cocktail Preparation

   1. Combine all ingredients except cinnamon stick in shaker glass, add ice and shake. Pour into a rocks glass with ice and garnish with cinnamon stick
