Fountain Restaurant, the celebrated downtown establishment located in the Fairmont San Jose, is pleased to unveil a new, seasonally inspired lunch menu showcasing the region’s best ingredients. New menu items include Executive Chef Anthony Hsia’s Signature Rice Bowls, four locally sourced salads, the indulgent NOM NOM Burger featuring Foie Gras and the vegetarian Three Bean Sandwich.

Expanding on Chef Hsia’s popular King Salmon Rice Bowl, Fountain Restaurant’s lunch menu now showcases three additional options; including, the Teriyaki Chicken Rice Bowl (glazed chicken breast and thighs, shaved bonito flakes, young ginger), the Summer Lettuces Rice Bowl (mint, shiso, peanuts, nuoc cham) and the Fountain Works Rice Bowl (Korean style beef short ribs, kalbi sauce, sprouts, fried garlic chips).

“Fountain Restaurant works directly with Northern California’s finest local purveyors to source the freshest ingredients. In keeping with this core philosophy, we’ve redesigned the lunch menu to be reflective of world cuisines,” notes Chef Hsia. “We’re excited to bring this new menu of inspired dishes to downtown San Jose.”

Salads include the Strawberry Salad (escarole, mâche, walnuts, goat cheese, Champagne vinaigrette), Sweet Gem Lettuces Salad (burrata, Castroville artichokes, Niçoise olives, tomato vinaigrette), Gala Apple and Butter Lettuce Salad (smoked almond brittle, Maytag blue cheese, maple-Dijon dressing) and the Chop-Chop Cobb Salad. The NOM NOM Burger, sourced from Northern California’s Masami Ranch, is made with ground short rib and sirloin, seared foie gras, port-onion marmalade, frisée, gruyère and truffle mayo. Health conscious patrons can dine on the Three Bean sandwich topped with grilled onions, mushrooms and sprouts while sipping Fountain’s fresh squeezed Orange Carrot Juice, Superblend Juice or Watermelon Mint Lemonade.

New breakfast items include the California “Oscar” Quesadilla, Waffles N’ Ham, Cinnamon Rolls and Meyer Lemon and Ricotta Pancakes. Fountain Restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch weekdays from 6:30 am until 2:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday 7:00 am until 2:00 pm.
