"California, here I come"

Understandably so, this is the unofficial state song of California.
Since being written in 1921 the song has reached 'star status' in TV shows, rock bands, movies and even requested to be included in the funeral program of a former American President.

Growing up in Canada my family and I religiously watched the early TV sitcom show "I Love Lucy." One episode inparticular portrays the  four main cast members crossing over the Golden Gate Bridge and singing the signature song with great finesse. I dreamed of the day I too could experience the same event in my lifetime.

Dreams do come true.
Not once (2007), but twice, (2010) my husband, two daughters and I have been so very fortunate to visit San Francisco and the Fairmont San Francisco sitting atop "Nob Hill."
Quite honestly the city of San Francisco and their vanguard of the Fairmont chain hasn't seen the end of me (us)!
Three's a charm, we'll be back!
