Macadamia Nut Cookies

• • 1 stick butter
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 1/3 cups cake flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped macadamia nuts

1. 1. Cream the butter and sugar
   2. Add the beaten egg and mix well
   3. Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt
   4. Add the dry ingredients to the butter and egg mixture in three parts, beating after each addition
   5. Fold in the chopped macadamia nuts
   6. Use a 1-ounce scoop t make balls of cookie dough
   7. Space the balls evenly on an ungreased cookie sheet
   8. Bake the cookies at 325 degrees for 15 - 20 minutes
