The Fairmont Dallas Terrace Garden

It's not common to walk through the terrace level of a luxury hotel located in downtown Dallas and find a 3,000 square foot garden full of herbs, spices and vegetables. But The Fairmont Dallas isn't a common hotel.

In its third summer, the terrace-level garden is beginning to show signs of life after the unusually high number of freezes in Dallas. Tomatoes are turning from green to red, three varieties of lettuce are growing strong and strawberries and watermelon will soon fill the hot Texas air with the sweet smells of summer.
