Fairmont Wedding at The Fairmont Copley Plaza, Boston

“A boisterous and playful wedding set against an elegant backdrop”

Congratulations on your wedding! What made you decide on having your wedding with us at Fairmont?

Jason and I have enjoyed many special occasions at The Fairmont Copley. We love its blend of old and new. We wanted to have a boisterous and playful wedding set against an elegant backdrop. Tracey Gavin and the wedding staff at The Fairmont Copley understood our vision from the start. They were unintrusively available/present every step of the way, from day 1 to our wedding day itself.

Where did you have your ceremony? Did you incorporate any special or cultural traditions?

We had a traditional Jewish wedding, with everything held at The Fairmont Copley Plaza. We started with a smaller ketubah signing and bedeken in The Copley Room, then moved to the Grand Ballroom for the chupah and larger ceremony.

Tell us about the flowers you chose. Did you go traditional or contemporary?

Misty Florez, with Nectar, helped us to design beautiful white bouquets and centerpieces to augment the gold/metallic opulence of the Grand Ballroom.

Tell us about the meal you served your guests.

Catering by Andrew served our guests an outstanding kosher meal. We started with hors-d'hoeuvres in The Oval Room; guests enjoyed carving stations, a sushi bar, and mediterranean spread with >15 pass-arounds. They then enjoyed a seasonal salad with choice of sea bass or steak. Desert included mango sorbet with a chocolate molten cake. www.cateringbyandrew.com
