The Grilled Elvis

Ingredients

Yield:

1 Sandwich

• • 2 slices 3/4" thick-cut brioche bread
  • 2 oz. creamy peanut butter
  • 2 oz. Nutella
  • 5 strips maple-cured bacon
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 tbsp. cream
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 partially green banana
  • 4 oz. butter

1. 1. On stovetop, heat sugar in nonstick pan to a golden color.
   2. Add in cream and stir until combined with sugar.
   3. Cut banana into thick slices and add to freshly created caramel sauce.
   4. Add in salt, cook for 1 minute, then remove from heat to let cool.
   5. Fry bacon on stovetop at medium heat until cooked through. Not too crispy!
   6. Spread 1 slice of bread with peanut butter, the other with Nutella.
   7. Add bananas in caramel sauce and bacon slices.
   8. Bring the slices together to make a sandwich.
   9. Heat a nonstick pan and melt half of butter, just as if you're making a grilled cheese.
   10. Place sandwich in pan and toast to golden brown.
   11. Add remaining half of butter to pan and toast the other side.
   12. Remove from pan and let cool slightly.
   13. Cut in half and enjoy!
