Sea Salt Almond Toffee

Ingredients

• • 1 1/2 cup toasted almonds, sliced
  • 3 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla extract
  • 12 oz. bittersweet or semisweet chocolate
  • Course sea salt, to taste

1. 1. Over medium heat melt butter, then add corn syrup and sugar. Mix carely until sugar starts to dissolve.
   2. Increase heat to medium-high heat and cook to 300 degrees on a candy thermometer about 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
   3. Once temperature is reached, add vanilla and half the almonds and mix carefully. Then pour mixture onto a foil lined baking sheet and spread out evenly.
   4. Let set 1 minute, then sprinkle chocolate on top, wait about 5 minutes until chocolate has melted and spread evenly over toffee, sprinkle the rest of the almonds and sea salt.
   5. Let set for 15 minutes, then place in the refrigerator for 5 minutes to completely set the chocolate.
   6. Break into pieces and enjoy!

2. Storage

   1. Store in an airtight container at room temp for 2-3 days or refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
