Lions at Lunch
We took a full day game drive during our stay at the Fairmont Mara Safari Club this Summer, and were lucky enough to see 15 different lions in that one day. After we finished our picnic lunch in the wilderness, we stumbled upon three lions who were enjoying their own warthog lunch. Two lions feasted on the warthog at a time, while one lion kept watch. We observed them taking turns at each position, and we were able to get very close to the lions without disturbing their lunch. Watching this particular group of lions eat was my husband's favorite part of our trip to Africa.
We are very thankful to the Fairmont Mara Safari Club for an amazing safari that was better than we had dreamed of. We hope to come back to this beautiful and unique property someday!
