Airport Anyone?

The Fairmont Vancouver Airport hotel's location screams convenyance for weary travellers but to me the luxury of this modern and comforable hotel is a major draw. This is evident from the fact that I actually live in Vancouver and have stayed at this hotel more then a few times. For those people who are plane spotters, like me, the airside rooms are a source of endless enertainment. Planes land, taxi, unload, refuel,reload and take off right at your feet and it is all backed by the coast mountains and BC coast. The sunsets are amazing and we had a front row seat to one of the most spectacular lightening storms at sunset I have ever seen, just fantastic. The lounge and Globe restaurant are also top notch. So don't be put off by the thought that it might be loud with all those planes as the rooms are very well isolated and sound proofed so just enjoy.
