Magic in the Imperial Room

With 150 of our closest friends and family in attendance for a wonderful evening of exotic belly-dancing, delicious Pakistani food and joyful karaoke singing, my husband Omar and I celebrated our wedding in the legendary Imperial Room at the Fairmont Royal York in January 1997. This photo was taken during a rare break from the non-stop festivities, which brought together guests from as far away as Pakistan and as close as Parkdale. It was the most memorable evening of our lives, made better by the great hospitality and finesse of the amazing hotel staff. And we even topped it off with two luxurious nights in the Presidential Suite!
